Doug Collins is an American attorney, pastor, and former U.S. Representative. A Republican from Georgia, he served in the U.S. House for the 9th district from 2013 to 2021, rising to ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee. A vocal defender of President Trump during his first impeachment trial, Collins previously served as a Georgia state representative and Air Force Reserve chaplain. He ran unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate in 2020 against Jon Ossoff. In November 2024, President-elect Trump nominated him as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.
