Tucker Carlson, born November 9, 1969, is an American conservative political commentator and journalist. He began in print media, writing for The Weekly Standard and others, before co-hosting CNN's Crossfire (2000-2005). He hosted shows on MSNBC, then joined Fox News in 2009. Tucker Carlson Tonight (2016-2023) became cable news's highest-rated primetime program. Fox News parted ways with him in April 2023. He launched the Tucker Carlson Network on X (formerly Twitter) in December 2023, producing independent shows and interviews, including Vladimir Putin in February 2024 and ongoing political discussions.
